Most of the information I have on my family has been from family members and expanded from research on the internet. The Mayhall branch goes back to the 1700's but I've hit a brick wall with the Parker branch. I've only been able to trace it back to my great grandfather, William P. Parker who was born abt 1859 in South Carolina or Tennessee (both states came from Census' from different years). None of my family has been much on record keeping and there were secrets that went to the grave with my grandfather. I got interested in genealogy because of a cousin who has actually become a "certified" genealogist. I was able to attend a family reunion in Arab, Alabama in August, 2003. There were over 100 people present. This was from my father's side of the family. My great Aunt Gladys Dyson and her siblings were the oldest members there. I have family from both sides that live within a 100 miles of Huntsville, Alabama.
