Working on so many of our family names at once is a real challenge - - and I can use any input you might have. I would be happy to share any of my research as well.
MAYER: minimal info on these German immigrants. Lived in MO and KS TOWNLEY: Quite a bit, tracing back to Townley Hall in Burnley, England. HAYDON: Married a Townley in 1909. They came to Missouri from Kentucky. DUKE: Irish immigrant in early 1800's. Daughter married a Townley. SUMNER: Quaker family traced from NC to OH to IN to IA to MO. Have a lot of names on this branch. MOSS: Married a Sumner in Iowa. Just beginning this search.
