I am beginning research about the MAYBERRY Family. Our GGrandfather MAYBERRY is believed to have immigrated to the U.S. from Ireland in 1847 and to have worked as a blacksmith in St.Louis, MO. He married a HOLDMAN(HOLMAN). HOLDMAN-MAYBERRY children were: William Daniel MAYBERRY, born 10/29/1853 in TN, a daughter Hattie ,and a son Francis Marion.The couple separated,and the children were raised by her brother Cy HOLDMAN in or near Springfield, MO., where she died about 1876. Wm. Daniel MAYBERRY married Elizabeth Angeline WEATHERBY, born 10/12/1869, in Atlanta, Calhoun Co.,MS.Her mother's maiden name was Sophronia Ann HERRING, born 11/2/1849, died in AR 1932-7. Her father's name was James Alfred WEATHERBY, born 11/25/1845,Calhoun Co.,MS., died Jan 1912, Watson, OK. Hattie married Will STEVENS and they had a son Arnold;She or Will died in 1922 in DuQuoin, Kansas. My grandparents, MAYBERRY-WEATHERBY , had 8 living children,most of whom were born and raised in Polk Co.,AR. Wm.D. died in 1917 in AR, E.A. in Houston, TX in 1963-1964.
