I have been researching the Yates and Langley families for about 2 years. I have found information back to about 1827 when my paternal gg grandfather, Stephen C. Yates, was born and that the Yates', so far, have come from Illinois. Many migrated to Missouri in the early 1900s.

I have also found my maternal gg grandfather, Alec Langley, who was born in Tennessee. My g grandmother, Mary C. Langley, was also born in TN, but migrated to Illinois at some point. She married my g grandfather, John F. Yates, in IL.
