Unidentified Pruett/Pruitt Family Photographs

Updated October 4, 2010

About Our Family Research

PLEASE HELP IDENTIFY the unknown persons in the old family photographs posted below. Most of the unidentified persons are descendants in the lines of:

Tillman Dixon Pruitt (1801-1847) & Diannah Hillsman Farrar(1806-1894)
Harriett Elizabeth Pruitt (1828-1915) & Ransom Marion Pruett (1827-1907)
William Malone Pruitt (1831-1908) & Martha Ann Daniel (1837-1867)
Frances Caroline Pruitt (1856-1897) & Francis Marion Pruett (1857-1926)
Joseph Jackson Jordan (1857-1914) & Emma Thurman Heidle (1862-1933)
Dora Bell Pruett (1880-1966) & Henry Monroe Jordan (1879-1937)

Most of the pictures were originally from the collections of Diannah Hillsman Farrar - Pruitt - Thompson - Whaley, and her granddaughter Dora Bell Pruett - Jordan- Anderson. Most of the unidentified persons are believed to be related, but keep in mind some may be friends of family members. In each photo caption I’ve given as much information as I currently know about the photo. Each photo is numbered. In group photos each individual is numbered for identification. Names of the known persons are listed by number in the photo captions.

PLEASE EMAIL IF YOU CAN IDENTIFY ANY OF THE UNKNOWN PERSONS or know any information about the date or place a photo was taken. Please refer to the photo number and the individuals’ number when you send information. Feel free to copy and share the photos with family who may be able to identify them. If you would like plain versions of any of the photos without the numbers printed on them I’ll gladly email them to you.

THANK YOU for taking the time to look. Any information very much appreciated!
