My great grandfather, John A Hanson, came to the U.S. in 1880 from Sweden. His father, Hans S Jonasson (Johanson) came to the U.S. in 1881 from Sweden.

John A Hanson married Ida Mae Sides in 1896 in Chadron, Nebraska. Her parents are Joseph Montgomery Sides and Sarah Cordelia Miller.

John had 5 brothers who also came to the U.S. in the late 1800's from Sweden. The brothers are: Jon, Peter, and Frank who lived in Iowa. Carl who lived in Nebraska. and Nels who lived in Oregon.
