I have been researching my families' tree for well over 30 years and had gotten very little accurate information. But once I got on the internet 6 years ago everything changed. I found several distant cousins (and some not so distant) that I didn't know about and with their help and others I've mapped my family from Europe in the 1000s to their path across the United States and ending up in California where I was born. It has been a long road and a difficult puzzle to find pieces for but I've enjoyed every moment and fill I've earned my detective badge in genealogy.
