I am an only son of an only son of an only son, and with me it ends. My great-grandfather was Lewis May, a highly regarded man in New York City. He was president of Temple Beth E-manuel for 30 years and presided over their 50th anniversary.

My mother's side of the family goes back in history for many, many generations. I am a Son of the American Revolution and I am a cousin, 2 or 3 times removed, of President Martin Van Buren.

My maternal grandfather, Harve Badgerow, spent many years researching our heritage which required him to spend time in England researching their archives. I am still going through his research and find new things every time I look. I am an English-French-German-Spanish-Dutch American or to get more to the point, a "Mutt!"
