My father and I became interested in researching out ancestors in the early 90's. Records have been reviewed from the Filson Club in Louisville, Ky., The Louisville Free Public Library, and Yates family group sheets. Also there was a family member that had obtained and complied hx from a family bible "Esther Louisa Pirkle Mayes" and a book, "The Pirkles in the USA, and Their Desendents". The death of my father, and my marriage and child had halted my research for a period. I have now began to search again without the help of my greatest hero.
