My father was William (Bill) Henry Stony Maynard, born in Red Bay, Labrador, canada, July 12 1898. Son of Edward (neddy) Maynard, and Sarah (nee) Macey. They lived at Kenny's Cove, approx 16 miles north of Red Bay, Labrador. Neddy and Sarah had 6 children,4 Boys and 2 Girls. There names were William (Bill), Edward, Jack, Ben, Sarah, and Caroline. The Family moved to Neddy's Harbour, Bonne Bay, Newfoundland around 1910.
Neddy lived to be 96 years old, passing away in 1954(approx) buried in Corner Brook, Nf, Sarah predeceased him by several years. William and Jack both served in WWI, seeing duty in the European theatre. William married Jane (nee) Mitchelmore of Green Island Cove, nf, Granddaughter of Thomas Mitchelmore from Devonshire England the first to settle that community located on the western side of the Great Northern Peninsula, Newfoundland, Canada. Bill and Jane lived in Green Island Brook, most of there lives having 4 Chirdren, Truman, Wallace, Maggie, and Edward.
