William Paul McAllister and Ann Whitaker McAllister moved to Bristol, Tennessee from Lynchburg, Virginia with their two sons William Paul, Jr. and David Brumley in January of 1969. William was tranfered to Bristol as a supervisor with the Social Security Administration and Ann taught art at Bristol Tennnessee High School. The family attended First Presbyterian Church. Ann is a graduate of East Tennessee State University; William graduated from Davidson College in Davidson, N.C.
