I am just getting started on my family tree. The family is not very close and information is very scare. I know that my grandfather was born in Alabama, some relatives known to the family live around Phoenix City, AL. I have begun research by getting in touch with the living relatives of my grandfather and using the social security index. This is my first attempt at extracting information on the internet.

I would be interested in any information available.

My grandfather, Allen King McBride was born 0/14/1899 and died June 1984. He was married to Mabel Tye McBride. (b. 10/10/1902 d. 9/1977).

His parents were Amos Joel? and Ida McBride They had nine children: Joe, Charlie, Mary, Lila, Woodrow, Allen, ?,?,and ?

My grandmother had children from a previous relationship that were several years older (25) than my father. They are known to live in the Columbus, GA area.
