My Great,Great Grandfather Frederick Daniel McComas was born in Drogheda, Ireland in about 1845. The next record I have of him is in Portsmouth, England in 1869 where his son, again called Frederick was born.
In around 1905 his son (my Grandfather) Daniel Frederick was born.
On 29th December 1930 my Father, Frederick Charles McComas was born in Bow, East London.

Frederick Charles fathered four children.
Michael (born 5th August 1959)
Adrian (Myself) (born 31st July 1962
Carol (born 20th March 1964)
Colin (born 22nd May 1968)

I believe that a number of McComas's went to America and Australia, possibly as a result of the Irish potato famine.

I would be extremely interested to hear from anybody who thinks that their family may be connected to mine.
