Hardings of OH - IN - KY - MO - TN Updated March 3, 2002
About Our Family Research
Our Harding family originally came from England --researching now. They worked hard and became outstanding members in their communties. Many buildings, schools, bridges, roads and even top secret buildings were worked on and completed by my family of Hardings. They worked on the Nuclear Plant at Los Alamos, NM, to most things that you see. They were called Heavy Equipment Operators which forced the family to travel all over the US, moving from job to job.
The most memorable for my Father and Grandfather (I believe) was the New Mexico State University Pan American (Pan Am) Center located in Las Cruces, New Mexico. That is where all of the concerts are held as well as Sporting Events. They helped do a Beautiful job on that. :)
It was the last job that Father -John- and Son, my Dad would work side by side completing. After that job, my grandfather, John Maurice HARDING retired after decades of working in this field. His father Samuel HARDING did the same type of work for a while. Although Sam was also a farmer a time or two, I've been told that he enjoyed the Heavy Equipment work. I am just happy to know that I came from such a Fine Bunch of HARDING s and I am looking forward to getting to know those that passed before me. Enjoy and drop me a line if you'd like. I'd Love to hear from other HARDING s, especially those from my Family Tree! Cathy
