About Our Family Research


The McCourt Family lived in County Armagh, N. Ireland.
The First to come over Was my Grand Uncle Michael McCourt.
Michael's Brother, my Grandfather Patrick, was in the Black Watch stationed in Scotland where he met my Grandmother Catherene Malone.
They had four Childern, Ann, John, Hugh and Michael.

After my Grandfather got mustered out of the service He went to
Albany, NY to stay with his Brother Michael.

Later in 1929 My Grandmother Catherene Came over from Scotland.
My Grandmother, Ann, Hugh, and Michael. (John Came into the U.S. through Canada soon after.)

They Left for America from Southhampton England on the "Republic" to start a new Life in America.
