About Our Family Research


I am researching the following families: JOHN W.MCDONALD, JOHN W.HAMILTON, BENJAMIN BROWN, REV.JAMES GRANADE, DAVIDSON, NORTON, JAMES CARROLL, SHIPLEY, ELISHA NAIL, FLORA MCNAIR.

Also the military history of the following units:

77TH MONTGOMERY HIGHLAND REGIMENT OF THE FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR. This was the unit of John W. McDonald, Sr who was mustered at Stirling Castle in 1757 and brought to the colonies.

18TH GEORGIA REGIMENT CSA ALSO KNOWN AS THE NEWTON RIFLES. Was the unit of Benjamin Elijah McDonald, my GGFather.

I am also the family historian for the John Keay Davidson, Sr. Family. J.K. Davidson, Sr. came to America cir 1888 from Aberdeen Scotland at the age of 16. The Davidson Family can be traced to the Highlands of Scotland in Rosshire north of Inverness.
