About Our Family Research

Hi, my name is Darryl Eley. Most of the people know me in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia as Uncle Darryl. I have been tracing my family history for the past 26 years and have made some great achievements and strides in my research. I am an African American. My understanding of life was close to the world by knowing only about a part of my ancestry. Now, I can reveal to you, the results of research that has made me one of the top genealogist in the world. On regular standards, I am just your ordinary genealogist. Being African American and a genealogist can make you give up your quest as fast as you start. I decided not to and today, I have the name of over 6250 people in my last edition of my family history. This is the combination history of the four grandparents that I have. Jessie Vera Bynum (Bracy), Roger Gary (Demaree), Gladys Mungo (Mungo), and Gonzalo McDow (McDow make up the lively history of the Bracy-Demaree-Mungo-McDow family of North Carolina, South Carolinam and Virginia.
My family history includes a genetics line that can be trace in all actuality to Adam and Eve through extensive genealogical internet research and a hunch.
My genealogical lines go back to a man that sued for his freedom and won.
My goes back to a lady who lived to be 113 years old, Easter Mungo, who was born in 1848 and died in 1962.
My history goes back to a lady who fought against white supremacy and won.
My history includes two lines from the tribes of Isreal, all three of Noah's children, King David and Solomon.
My history includes Charlesmagne, Pepin the Short, Rognvald Eysteinsson, Malcolm Canmore III, Alfred he Great, William the Conqueror, Henry I of England, Gundred, Princess of England, Geofrey Plantagenet, with connects to most of the royal family of Europe.
My history includes 5 brothers, 3 sisters, a living mother and 2 grandmothers, over 50 great aunts and uncles, over 5,000 cousins, 25 neices, and nephews, with four being 3 great neices, and one great nephew.
I dedicate my research to many but most of all my success to my mother, Betty, my father, Richard, Esther Taylor, and many other (see dedications in book).
