About Our Family Research

McDaniel, Byrd, Bourg, Bergeron, Giroir, Chiasson, Toups, Albert, Chauvin, Bernard, Gauthier, Leonard, Trosclair, Blanchard, Boudreaux, Gaspard, Doucet, And Carlos are Just some of the surnames to be found in the Family tree.

The following is a list of people I would like to thank for making this possible:

Lawrence Bergeron, My cousin who first helped me get started when I showed interest.

Pheobe Chauvin Morrison, For writing "Generations...Past and Present. Vol. #1 Revised". And for her book on Zenon Chauvin.

Reubin Bergeron, AKA Jerry Raines, Louisiana Music Hall of Fame Member, My Cousin, for his memory and knowledge, and shared photos of family.

Theresa Bergeron, My Grandmother for her love, Devotion and sharing of firsthand accounts and photos.

Bert Bergeron, My cousin for his shared work and continued help.
*NOTE* If not for Bert and his sister Martha, I would still be looking for the parents of my 3rd Great Grandfather.

Amos McDaniel, My Grand uncle, for sharing files and family history and his willingness to talk on the phone for endless time and answer my questions.

Terrebonne Parish library, I Guess I don't need to go into this one do I?

John Benny Trosclair, My biological Father and his help to uncover the Trosclair-Blanchard side. Getting to know my father, showed me a lot about myself.

Cassandra Wade, My distant cousin from Texas, for helping me find out about the Giroir side. Give me an Email cuz!!! You changed your stuff.

With so many people to thank, I hope I don't forget anyone.

This sight is dedicated to the following people:

Bobby James McDaniel, Earl Bateman Byrd, and Tina Favre. Many have died in the past, but the people mentioned here, have died at the hands of Animals that chose to take another life before GOD was ready to take them! To date, the murder of Tina Favre has not been solved. If you have any info on the death of Tina, Please contact the local police in Houma, LA.

Donnie G. McDaniel
