This is an attempt to present information on the "Fleming Family" heritage that we have been able to trace back to a James Fleming born in l805.
Special thanks to Dorothy Moore Kloosterman for the leg work of searching for facts and dates for many of our ancestors, also Helen Fleming Moore, who also has provided old stories, photographs and history laced with some anecdotes and some humerous tales that she has gleaned over her life time. At this point Helen and her daughter Dorothy are the resident historians and keepers of the Fleming Family history.
The history of the family will centre around Hastings, Ontario and neighbouring Peterborough County.
In our presentation of the family history we hope to provide some interesting facts, photos, certificates and links to other websites.
