We've been asking family members about our anscestors, I have done some research in records at the court houses in Pocahontas and Rockwell City. I have contacted some out of state relatives on Gerald's side of the family. Some of my father's side of the family came from Germany so have hit a rock in looking for his great grandparents . We haven't had any family reunions lately. Both Gerald and I are only children. My dad is the last of his family living. I am enjoying doing the research and am just learning about the internet as we have just been connected since March lst.
Now it is April 2004, I have obtained a lot of information about Gerald's family. They include the Thomas Jefferson McDaniel descendants, Gideon Millsap descendants, Thomas Henry Knott descendants, Anthony Oziah descendants and Matthew Hixson descendants. I have found some from my maternal great grandparents the Hamilton Eaton descendants. Am still researching on the internet general forum and Roots Web message pages.
