My 2nd gr grandfather, Archibald B. McDonald was born in N.C. in 1795. He married Harriet ??? in Ga. in 1830. Their children were:

HARRIET AMANDA, b. 1833 GA., d. Between 1850 and 1860, Probably Barbour Co., Alabama
LUCIA, b. 1 Dec. 1834 GA., d. 10 Jan. 1887 TX.
JOSHUA MCDONALD, b. 3 Aug. 1836 GA., d. 2 Feb. 1915 Clark Co., Alabama
JOHN CROFFORD, b. 1838 GA., d. Unknown
JAMES GABRIEL, b. 1841 GA., d. 28 Dec. 1862 at Murphreesboro, Tenn. The Battle at Stones River of the WAR OF NORTHERN AGGRESSION.
MARTHA JANE, B. 15 Sept. 1848 Barbour Co., Ala., d. 19 Feb. 1926 Houston, TX.
I have more than 1800 decendants and spouses of ARCHIBALD B. MCDONALD.
NOTE: THE BARBOUR CO., ALABAMA 1850 CENSUS, DIV. 23, ENUMERATED SEPT. 20TH, PAGE 216, LINE 26, LISTS THE NAME ARCHIBALD MCDANIEL WITH WIFE HARRIET AND THE CHILDREN AS LISTED ABOVE. HOWEVER I HAVE A BARBOUR CO., ALA. 1848 LAND DEED WHICH SHOWS ARCHIBALD B. MCDONALD DEEDED LAND TO HIS FOUR SONS, ARCHIBALD, JOSHUA, JOHN CROFFORD AND JAMES GABRIEL. THIS DEED PROOVES THAT THE NAME IS MCDONALD AND NOT MCDANIEL.
I am willing to share the info I have with anyone interested in the decendants of ARCHIBALD B. MCDONALD, BORN N.C. 1795 AND DIED IN CLARK CO., ALA. IN 1863.
