"Robert Vinton McDuell of Rogers, Arkansas"

Updated January 3, 2011

About Our Family Research

My McDuell family is originally from Roxburgh, Scotland, William McDuell, born about 1690. His son was Thomas McDuell, born October 27, 1717; his son was John McDuell, Gentleman, born May 10, 1763 in Bearsden, Scotland. I have an original "Commission" for John as he was promoted to Quarter Master in King George's Army, dated July 6th, 1798. John & his wife Sarah (Bareton or Baxter--not clear which) had eight children, Robert McDuell being my great, great grandfather, then William, John Mortimer, then my father, Robert Lee McDuell. Some of the family names of spouses were Staley, Miller, & Garrott. My grandmother married her first cousin, John Robinson McDuell, making her my great aunt also!
