Looking for decendents of William B Carriger, father, William David Carriger, son, living in Direct area before and after 1890. Also for decendents of George Washington Bumpass (his father was Gabriel Bumpass) who lived in Direct area also, about the same time. These are my paternal grandparents' parents. My father was Orlie Raymond Bumpass, son of Clinton Bumpass and Ollie Mae Carriger. Dad was born June 12, 1919 in Direct. Dad had a brother, Clifton Butler Bumpass, born Oct of 1913. The family moved from Direct in dad's early childhood, and lived in Oklahoma, around the Hugo area. He married my mother, Vivian Lue Wilkins, on June 3, 1948. Mom was born and raised around Hugo also.
I have MUCH information on the Carriger side, and a lot of into on the Bumpass side....these Carrigers originated in Tennessee..have pictures of some, and of the Bumpass.....please contact me, I will share all I have, and hope to get info from you too.....thanks, Brenda
