In 1950, George M. McFarland came from Frenchlick, Munice, and Paoli, Ind.He serived in WWII,in Germany; his job was a Trackdriver{light}/induced 06-09-1942. Army,PFC. After the Army He returneed home where his wife and son was waiting,he returned to fram work,planting soibeen,he also worked with horses and other animal. He had lost a brother in the war, James Luther,his other brothers were Marrion,and Robert;one sister Marget McFarland/Steed. His parents were James and Anna Ikemiller/McFarland.He took on alsorts of jobs while there in Ind. some were Housemoving;house building. He liked to race cars, he also liked to wresle in his younger days, he also was a great horse shoe player, and would teach others the art of playing the game. He came with his wife Evelyn M. Dobson/McFarland, and three sons: George Thomas{Tom}, Luther Wayne{Sr.}, and Floyd E{means the end},to Fla. They settled in a little town, New Smyrna Beach, Fla. He worked with his fater-in-law for a while, his boss thought that he was just another snowbrid just waiting for the snow to melt, untill his boss walked into the L&S bar,where George was with his wife and sons; he introduced him to his family. Right after that George got a raise an went on to become a master,block mason most of his life.Work was slow in N.S.B. in the 60's. So he joined up with a foreman an went over to Sarasota,While working in Sarasota Fla.On July18,1969,his house in New Smyrna Beach blew up. So he and his wife relocated there. After a while his sons joined them. They each have families of their own, Tom{George} married Catherine{Cay} Gailey {had 1 daughter,Laura C.}{she has 1 son,Alec and 1 on the way} Luther W. Sr./Barbara Mc Carren {they had 3 children,Eileen P.,Sheila M.{she lived with Tom and his family for 15 yrs.;she has 2 girls, Alyssa R.& Brittney N.}& Luther W.Jr.{he has 1 girl,Lauren A.}&Floyd E./Ginger Hoteling{they had 2 sons,}Terry M.{ he has 1 son Austin E.&has one on the way.}&Christophr S.{he has one on the way}. Each of George's sons served in the Army,Tom in Germany, both Luke,& Floyd in Vietnam. Both Luke & Floyd work as block masons & Tom worked as a custodian. Floyd while still in N.S.B. would build & race mini stock cars. He now has his own block massonary bussines, and desined not one house but two house maybe even more,and he married Catherine Dimon/Martin May of 2001.
