I am a granddaughter of Kinlow and Annie Mae Gause, daughter of Mattie Gause Rice Lesueur and Lloyd G. Rice. My Step-Dad, Arthur Lesueur, Mom, and I created the first Gause Family up-to-date genealogy tree in 1995. I believe we had the first reunion that year in Tallahassee, Fl, then the family had another in 1997 in St. Petersburg, FL. I know I will be corrected if the dates are wrong, at least I hope someone will take a look and let me know. Please help me finally make some progress with this since that time, by emailing me with any information you may have, especially if you want to help research or help fund the research. Otherwise, just enjoy this website as it hopefully progresses. The following is a shortened version of some family history:
Kinlow Gause left home Nickles,(sp) South Carolina at 14 years old. He had 2 brothers (Henry & Gary) and one sister. He met Annie Macmillan in Crossland, GA where they married and had their first three girls. Around 1919 they traveled to Florida by horse and wagon to Fairplace, then Orange Place, then share cropped on Ben Bryant's farm, then finally bought their own place in Greensboro raising corn, tobacco, cotton, cows, peanuts and children. They helped build the Pine Bloome Missionary Church serving as deacons and served on the Mother Board.
