The page which I will attempt to create will focus on the descendants and ancestors of Daniel Webster Burke, Dessie Lee Parrish, Herbert Eugene Corbitt, and Maxine Moore.
The Burkes have lived in Florida from about 1850-present. Starting out in Calhoun County, Florida (formerly Washington County) and now more concentrated in the Tampa Bay area.
The Parrishes have been in Florida for a similar amount of time. I'm just starting touch base with this side.
I only know a little about the Corbitts. It's my grandfather's side, and he died before I was ever born. They have long roots in Florida as well. There was a high concentration near Ft. Meade.
The Moore side has long roots and still has a strong showing near the Ozarks in Arkansas. My grandmother and her brothers and sisters were mostly born in Ash Flat. A lot of her brothers and sisters live in Jonesborough, Monette and their surrounding areas. However, Granny (Maxine) lives in Tampa, Florida, near her daugter Frances and son Dale.
