Amos Green (1778-1857) son of Richard and Eleanor Sullivan Greene , and Elizabeth Searcy (1779-1854) moved to Rutherford County, N.C. in 1800. Her maternal grandfather Revolutionary War Veteran Ed Sullivan died 1794 was buried in Watauga , North Carolina, a few years before this move. They had twelve children, Mary, Amelia, Elizabeth, Jesse, Richard, Eleanor, Sarah, Jonathan, William Washington, Andrew Jackson, Oliver and Nancy.
