Our Family Trees

Updated November 14, 2004

About Our Family Research

Researching the following lines: Wallace, Allgood, these families came to Louisiana, my home state via South Carolina through to Mississippi, Lincoln, Pike counties.
Short, Caldwell, Whitehead, are my mother's families in Kentucky.
Mcferren, Hicks, Warren are my husband's families on his father's side from Mississippi and Louisiana.
Leggion and Akridge are his mother's family lines in Louisiana for sure. Some say Leggion forbears from France. Through further research over the last few months, we have found that the Leggions descend on the maternal side from Padia (spelled several different ways) and Robin, from France.
Ferdinand Robin came to the United States from France in 1862 and came to Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana and married Elizabeth Padia. Their Daughter Theresa was my husband's ggrandmother.
