About Our Family Research
Donald (Daniel) McInnes married Ann McLean on the Island of Coll, a small island to the west of Glasgow in Scotland in 1825. Three sons were born. Neil, Lachlan and in 1834, John. The family moved off the island and we found John in Bute married to Marion McGilvray in 1859. Marion died giving birth to Sarah in 1860 and John remarried in 1861 to Christina McCallum in Rothesay on Bute. The family emigrated to New Zealand in 1883.
