My name is Ella mae Ernenwein McIntyre and I am in the process of researching my family history.
Like his father,George Ernenwein Sr,dad George Peter Ernenwein worked for the New York central railroad.
Dad was working in the White Plains N.Y. area when he met
my mom, Grace Marian Filkins. They were married in 1923, settled in Rome N.Y and raised 10 children. Out side of one brother deceased, Richard Alvin, born in 1926,The rest of the children are still living. Dick was killed in a motorcycle accident in 1947.
My grandmother and father Ernenwein came from Germany when ther were young.They met on the ship,grew up together and eventually married.They raise a family of 8.My dad was next to the oldest,born in 1901.
My research is mainly on my mothers parents George Henry Filkins and Mary E.Bailey whom I never got to know, for they both died before I was born.
