I am researching my maternal grandparents, Marie Irish and Thomas Edward Prendergast, who were married in St. Louis, MO.as far as I know. Marie Irish was one of 7 children of Mary Catherine Butler (Utica,NY 1851-1939;mother:Ellen McGeoghan of Dublin,Ire no dates,her parents:Killean & McGeoghan; & father:John Murray Butler of County Meath 1818-?) and Michael Carroll Irish (Philadelphia, PA 1844-1918, mother:Ellen Carroll of Philadelphia,PA & ___ Irish, Philadelphia,PA). Edward Prendergast was one of 7 children of Mary O'Connell (Killarney, Ireland 1840-?; mother a Molyneau, father was a Mulnick (sp.?)) and George Palmyra Prendergast (Tipperary?, Ireland born on the ship Palmyra on the Indian Ocean 1831-1903, mother:Mary Haynes, father: Jeoffrey Prendergast whose parents were Mary Meagher and George Prendergast). Marie and Ed had 12 children, Marian, the eldest born June 29,1900-1989. 5 of the children are still living. My mother is Julia Prendergast Dooling (St. Louis, MO b. July 27, 1910). We believe the family link to Ireland is w/Maurice dePrendergast during the Anglo-Norman invasion in the 12th c.Also am researching Maurice Brazil dePrendergast,artist,(St. John's, Newfoundland b.1859;then Boston,MA 1861, New York 1912;Philadelphia;d.1924)
