This is my most recent attempt to collate information on my daughter's background which stems through my mother's family in Norway and eventually tracks back to the von Rummelhoff's. (Petronelle Agnethe von Rummelhoff married Abraham Olsen Moss.) There are many additions required from binders of data which I have collected. This is tedious task and I am a novice, therefore, it should be anticipated that it will be a 'work in progress' for quite some time.
I wish to express my gratitude to those who have, knowingly or not, been wonderful enough to contribute to this endeavour.
It would have been an asset to have been taught the Norwegian language but, unfortunately it was never used in my home. My mother stopped using her native tongue after her mother passed as she no longer had her to write to. I greatly appreciate those who have had the patience to help me with translations. Although translation software can be useful, it tends to leave one with some confusion.
I do hope that I do not embarrass myself through my lack of skill.
