"The Lorentz Guth's (also spelled Good) of Allentown, PA

Updated August 13, 2005

About Our Family Research

According to my research, Lorentz Guth came from the Rhineland, Germany on the ship, Thistle, on September 19, 1738 to Philadelphia, and settled in what is now Allentown. He was the second resident there to build a stone house in 1745, I think was the year. He also gave the land to the Jordan United church of Christ, formerly the "Reformed Church" of Allentown, Pennsylvania.
