Plese view the family tree that I have created at this website.
I live in rural and central California, about 100 miles north of Santa Barbara, near San Luis Obispo. I have three children, total. My oldest son is deceased, his official cause-of-death was SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). My two daughters were born August 23, 2005 and February 21, 2007.
My maternal grandmother, Helene Reich, was adopted shortly after her birth via the New York Jewish Foundling Foundation. It is believed that her parents perished in the flu epidemtic. This part of my family tree is the most difficult to trace, but my efforts and those of my other family members have not been thorough.
My maternal grandfather, Rabbi Joseph Zeitlin, became estraged after he and my grandmother divorced around 1951. I only met Joseph twice in my life and contact with this part of my family has not occurred, especially since my mother's marriage to a Gentile in 1965, and Joe's death around 1990. My mom says that I share several physical charateristics and expressions with my granfather, Joe.
My paternal grandmother, Edith McCaskey, and my paternal grandfather, James McKrell, are from Tarentum and Russelton, Pennsylvania.
I am a civil engineer by profession. I'm also a musician.
I was born June 29, 1967 in Hayward, California. I have a younger sister, Nancy, born October 23, 1969. She lives in Bend, Oregon with her family, and practices optometry.
I am 5'-11" tall with brown eyes and brown hair. I have a "ruddy" complexion. Most often, I am described to be very young looking.
