I am searching for any relatives of my late father's. I know very little as did my father about his family. His father died when he was about 18 months old in a town named Dunsmuir, CA. The local paper in Dunsmuir listed his death and referred to him a a passing traveler. After his father's death, he and his mother and half-sister continued on south to the town of Willits, CA where they lived in a house that she had purchased about 6 miles north of Willits until her death when my father was 13 years old. My father's half-sisters name is Norma but they did not know that she was a half-sister until many years later when she needed to get her birth certificate. Neither my father or Norma know many details about either one of their parents. My father believed that his father was born in Nebraska as was his mother. I do have my father's birth certificate which lists my father as being born in Lewiston, Idaho and says that his father's name was Jack I. Gray and his mother's name was Denice Goudelle. Their address is listed as 1112 1/2 Idaho St., Lewiston, Idaho. His father was 34 and his mother was 28. He is listed as the second child born to his mother. His father listed his occupation as a mechanic and his mother listed hers as housewife. The name of the hospital is not listed but the Primary Registration District No. 1009 and the Registration District No. as 96 and the State file number as 169816. My father was born Sept. 22, 1928. The doctor signed his name but I am unable to read the handwritting.
My father believes that his mother had two sisters who at one time lived in San Francisco and possibly owned and operated a grocery store. He also believed that they had sold the store and moved to the the state of Washington. If I remember right, one of the sister's names was Alice.
My father passed away Sept. 14th, 1981. His half-sister is still alive the last I heard and she was living in Idaho with her daughter and son-in-law.
I would very much like to know if their are any relatives of my father's that are living in Idaho or Nebraska. I would appreciate any information at all.
