Sarah Coyle and James Mc Kimm had five children called James,Andrew,Robert, and Sarah. They lived in Londonderry and married around 1857. The elsest son, James (born 1858) emigrated with his brother John to New York. Before leaving James married Elizabeth Mc Auley ( or Mc Gawley). They had a son,John A., born on the 26th March 1888. They lives in 200 East 54th. St. Elizabeth went back to Londonderry, Ireland soon after the birth of her son John A and never returned in spite of repeated pleas from her husband John to return. He disappeared after several letters and steamship tickets to his wife. There is now no record of either James or his brother John. James Mc Kimm was apparently a carpenter by trade and applied for US citizenship on 22nd. Oct. 1888.His date of naturalisation was the following day. There is a story that he actually worked on Ellis Island as a clerk recording the arrival of Irish emigrants.
