Irah McKaig, born Sept. 07 1907, Bothwell Ontario Canada. Died August 1987 London Ontario. He married Genevieve Richie born June 19 1916 Chatham Ontario, died June 12, 1995. They had six daughters, Noreen Marie born Sept. 14 1936 Chatham, Marilyn Kathleen born May 13 1938 Chatham, Gloria Patricia Ann born Sept. 4 1940 Chatham, died May 25 1998 London Ontario, Rosaline Gail born March 21 1947 Chatham, Linda Iris born June 8 1948 Chatham, died August 1992 Dutton Ontario, Iva Priscilla born March 4 1950 London Ontario, died November 19 1966 Wallaceburg Ontario.
Grandparents:James McKaig no date of birth or death.He married Jane Harris no date of birth but died Feb. 1947 Wallaceburg and buried in St. Thomas Ontario.
Great Grandparents: Hugh Mckaig born Oct.1 1839 died somewhere between 1920-28. Married Jane Copeland. They had 10 children and lived in Montague township in the county of Lanark Ontario Canada. Two of their children Benjamin and Clifford resided in London Ontario. I believe they are buried in Oil Springs Cemetery Ontario..
Great Great Grandparents: Mary and Benjamin Copeland. Not sure if they came from Merricksville Ireland or Ontario Canada. Benjamin died from injuries he suffered during blasting operations. Jane was six years old when he died.
Sibblings of Irah: Sherman McKaig died in the U.S.A. married to Catherine maiden name unknown. Wilbert, Anthony, Nelson, Florence, Stella, and Cecilia all of course have died but not sure where they are buried..Stella left home and was never heard from again.
