About Our Family Research

Looking for a connection to a MacKenzie who came over from Scotland in 1773 on a ship named the Hector to Nova Scotia. The family trade was blacksmithing. One of the descendents John R. MacKenzie who had 9 children, one of which is James Daniel,(his son James Robert McKenzie 10/23/1925, is still living in southwest Michigan) James Daniel McKenzie was a retired railroad worker 1897-1975 and is buried at Wallaceburg, Ontario, his wife was Stella Ann Moorland 1895-1938, his siblings are, James Alexander, John Robert, Jemima Catherine, Hugh Fraser, Elizabeth Ellis, Annie Mabel, Alexander Forrest and William Finlay. My ancestor's supposedly came over on the Hector. If you know of descendent trees of the MacKenzie's that came over on the Hector please contact me?
