Lachlan MacLean b.ca 1748, son of John MacLean of Ardgour b.ca 1708, son of Allan MacLean b.ca 1680, son of Allan MacLean b.ca 1645, son of Lachlan Mor MacLean b.ca 1614-1703 post. Ancestor of the 2nd family of Blaich, and son of Allan MacLean b.ca 1582-1681, the 7th Laird of Ardgour.
Lachlan MacLean married Mary McColl of Achphuble,Ardgour about 1773 and had the following known family -
Katherine born 1774-1868 and married Lachlan McLean, living at Duisky, Ardgour.
Allan born 1778 and married Catherine McPherson and had a croft at Garvan,Ardgour.
Ann born 1780 and married Allan McLean and lived at Garvan.
John born 1784 and married at Glasgow where he kept several pubs.
Jean born ? and married John McNiven and lived at Bottle, Liverpool, where she died.
Alexander born at Gerradh, Ardgour 1796 and died at Blaich, Ardgour 19/12/1862.He married Christian McMillan 1818 at Blaich and had the following family. -

Sarah 1822- Mrs Deneven
John 1824- Died single in United States
Ewen 1826- died young
Jessie Ann 1823-1913 married Hugh McDonald and went to Victoria.
Catherine 1830- Mrs Livingstone, died in Fort William
Lachlan 1832-1921 Went to Central Otago, N.Z.
Jean 1835-1907 unmarried and lived in Fort William
Mary 1837- died young
Allan 1840-1892 went to Otago where he died and is my great grandfather.
Hugh 1843-1912, had the family croft at Blaich with his family
Elizabeth 1845- married Charles McLean and lived at Blaich.
