Genealogy has always been an interest of mine, although it wasn't until retirement that I have begun to devote time to it. With the help of several relatives, genealogy buffs, librarians, and Internet, this page is provided to you, hopefully for your enjoyment. (I will admit that I told our 20-year-old son, Prentiss, that it's O.K. if this doesn't excite him--it didn't excite me at his age either!)

Many thanks are due to our cousin, Shirley Baldwin, of Brooklyn, New York, who has supplied much information for this page. Not only did she hire a noted genealogist to research our South Carolina roots, but she also has been so willing to share what she has found.
