About Our Family Research

Over the past 5 years, I have collected data from as many family members as possible about our genealogy. My husband's family can remember the name of someone who served in the Civil War and was injured then, but no other data that helps with searches. We do have a cane that the Civil War person received from their brother in Ireland after he was injured in the war. My step-mother-in-law has a relative that researched their family and she is related to the late President Polk. My family on my mother's side was mostly from Georgia - the McDonald's and Reid's. My father's family was from Kentucky and Tennesee - the Bruce's and the Farney's. My father was born in Ohio.
