The Trainums and Harlows of Virginia

Updated February 5, 2002

About Our Family Research

I can only go back to my Great Grandfather Austin Shepard Trainum
in my research. I know that a lot of records were destroyed from Hanover County, during the Civil War. But if anyone has any information on the Trainums in possibly Caroline county, or some other county around Richmond, I would like to receive it. I do know that he offered land to the Cool Spring Baptist Church, when it was being organized. The land was refused because of it not be accessible. My grandfather was John William Trainum, and my grandmother was Lottie Helena Harlow. Her father was Joseph Harlow, and her mother was Mary Childress.
I have learned that my greatgranfather, Austin Trainum had an older daughter names Mary E. Trainum Spicer. Anyone with information on her?
