I am searching for the parents & sibblings of two brothers, Marshall & Sylvester McMahan, who's parents were reported to be from Ohio.
It is believed that this McMahan family moved from Ohio thru Indiana to Illinois. The two brothers (Marshall & Sylvester) settled and lived out their lives in Paducah, Ky.
Marshall was reported born in Ohio (abt.1828) and Sylvester in Indiana (abt.1835).
These brothers married the sisters, Rosannah M. & Elizabeth J. Adkins, daughters of John Graham & Nancy (Covey) Adkins.
The "Grantor and Grantee Deed Indexes 1825-1938, McCracken Co.,Ky" indicate that these McMahan's, and related families, had interests in Paducah, McCracken Co.,Ky. from at least 1852-1954.
In addition to the McMahan's and Adkins, you'll find surenames such as Pell, Clark, Broyles, Council, Shelby, Beckelhymer, Farrin, Forshee, Englert, Bailey, Barfield, Tilghman & Watts many more.
