I am currently researching the Coonrod line of my family. We are also very interested in any histories, pictures, and or family stories that anyone could share with us. My Great Grandmother was Lydia Emailine "Emma" Coonrod Gaither. Her parents were Woolery Coonrod and Jane Prewitt Coonrod, and moved from Jasper, MO in the 1850's and built a new home one mile south of Cato, Kansas. There children were, Adam, Frank, John Hillman, George, Bill, Martha Jane, Mary Ann, Emma, Jeff, and Elisha. Woolery was a veteran of the Black Hawk War of 1831-32. The sons were split between the north and south, as many families, during the Cival War. Woolery's parents were George Coonrod and Paralee Zumwalt Coonrod. George's father was Woolery Urich Coonrod Jr. (From Berne,Switz.)and Elizabeth Drestern. He was the son of Woolery Ulrich Coonrod and Margaret Langenegger. He was the son of Bartlome Coonrod . They were from Attiswil,Berne, Switzerland. Please contact me if you have any information to share, pictures, etc. and please let me know if you need any addional information. I have a lot of pictures, stories, as well. Patti Mc from AR
