My Uncle (father's side) has done a lot of research pertaining to our family's history that orginates back to Ireland (naturally), unfortunately, earlier ancestors cannot be found due to missing information/records that have been destroyed in Ireland. My Grandmother (mother's side) died nearly 2 months ago, she was 94. My mother comes from the Dominican Republic, and her grandmother was from Italian descent, although she was born in New York. The McSherry/O'Shea's last family reunion was in July 1997, in Las Vegas, unfortunately there, not everyone was present, but it was a fantastic time anyway! My mother's father was a poet, and an ambassador. He died when my mother was 12. It's ashame that my sister and I never got to meet him! My father's mother's 1st cousin was Huey P. Long, Gov. of Louisana, during the Depression, and today, a 3rd cousin, plays for the KC Royals! I now live in Germany....and to me, FAMILY MEANS EVERYTHING!!
