I am interested in knowing about any information you might have regarding the McTague and Killelea family. I know that my particular family came from Ireland in about 1840. Hugh McTague is the eldest family member who came from County Meath with two brothers at or about that time. Hugh had two sons James Hugh and John. James married Catherine Dunn and moved to St. Louis where they owned a resturant known for it steak and lobster. John born in 1856 married Ellen Crowley born 1859 and raised 12 children in Elgin, IL. Rose Ann b(1878/79), William b(1881), John Patrick b(1884), George Hugh b(1886), Walter b(1888), Thomas Henry b(1890), Aloysius Gonzaganz (1892), Leo Vincent b(1894), Hugh Gregory b(1896), Ellenor (Mctague) Okkermann b(1898), Arthur Crowely b(1900), Agnes b(?), Hazel b(?)and Veronica b(?). My Grandfather was William McTague who homesteaded in South Dakota with his wife Ann Powers. Another brother Leo Vincent owned a hotel in Dennison, IA. My Father is James Orlo McTague brother of Mavis and Sylvester and husband of Mary Killelea. I have nine brothers and sisters Jo Ann Buss of Tuscon AZ, Wilma Trainor of Tuscon AZ, Robert (deceased and survived by a daughter), Dorothy Jones of Joliet, Judith Kelly of Joliet, Margaret Alimo of Joliet, Raymond of California, Elizabeth Stimac of California and Kathy Curran of Austin TX.
