I am searching for information on the ancestors of John Francis Edward Meehan - born 5th August, 1937 at Islington, London - and Audrey Florence Joy Meehan (nee Woodard) - born 4th July 1939 at Nunhead, London.
John's grandfather was Henry Francis Meehan, born in Ireland, and died during WW1. He married Edith Kate Wilson of Islington. Henry worked as a railway porter. They had three children - Margaret Meehan, John Henry Francis Meehan (b. 29/9/1913) and Edward George Meehan (who had two daughters, Margaret and Sheila). Edith Kate Wilson remarried Frederick William Wodcke 20/7/1919? after Henry's death and had three more children. Any information would be appreciated.
Audrey's mother was Ada Woodard (nee Lawrence) of Hampshire and her maternal grandfather was Thomas Lawrence (b. 14/2/1860) of Rockbourne. Thomas died 31/3/1935. Thomas first married Rosina Alma Mussell on 13/10/1886 at Rockbourne. They had three children - Albert Thomas (b. 28/6/1887 - married Louisa ?, and died in WW1. Albert and Louisa had two daughters - Violet and Shirley. Louisa remarried Alfred Gray - last known at Patrington Hull in 1953); Edith Rosina (b. 1/7/1889); and Mabel (b. 12/9/1891. Mabel had a son Frederick and a daughter and was last known at Patrington Hull in 1953). The births were registered at Alderbury.
Albert Thomas Lawrence's Violet married Charles Boyton (last known at Skipton Driffield in 1953). They had three daughters - Sheila, Christine and Margaret and possibly two sons, Miles and Stanley. Albert's other daughter Sheila married (?) and had a daughter named Sally.
Thomas Lawrence remarried Ann Maria Philps on 18/4/1894 at Salisbury. They had six children and Ann Marie raised the three children from his previous marriage as well.
Any information, copies of certificates - birth, narriage, death, christening, military service etc, photographs or contact addresses would be greatlt appreciated.
