I am currently looking for info. on Jim Meeks ( 18__ to about 1900) He had a son Robert C. Meeks (about 1867-1905) R.C. had Robert W. 1896-1975. Robert W. had Carrol Dwayne 1935- . Carrol D. is my father I am Carrol L. Meeks born 1969. I have other info on sisters and brothers going back to Robert W. I am trying to find out if Jim is a war veteran life etc. His son Robert C. was a sawmiller by trade and was born in Texas but moved to El Dorado Ark. around the late 1880's and married Adeline Hooks from Kentuckey.She died in 1944. My family especialy the older generations were quiet obout our ancestry. My investigative expertise tells me there may have been a family quarel or maybe an elope around the Robert C. generation. I try to go back further but the info doesn't seem to exist.I don't know who Robert C.'s siblings were births deaths anything.
