As the oldest son of Joseph J. and Marie Hanley Meehan
I am taking the initiative to research the Meehan
family tree. My father has recently passed away,
March 13, 2001 and I want to help establish the
history of our family for my three sisters and my
brother as well as for the 12 grand children and
5 greatgrandchildren of my parents. I have limited
knowledge of my grandfather's early life, only to
know that he lived somewhere in New Jersey when
he was growing up. I also believe that his mother
and/or father were born in Ireland. I am anxious to
findout all I can about our Irish heritage and hope
in the near future to take my son Tim to Ireland and
research our roots there.
