The Family Tree of Martin K. Meers of Buffalo, NY

About Our Family Research

I began this task in January 2001. It has been an adventure in research that I never imagined possible. At the start of this amazing task I had very little to go on, then I began visiting the local library. This is when my tree began to grow. Not only was I able to add names, the names were becoming people. I was learning their places of residence, occupations, and in a few cases; their military service. This is an adventure that, while I started alone, I had to seek help along the way. For those who are Schneiderhan's or are related to the Schneiderhan family, and are fortunate enough to own a copy of "Family History - Schneiderhan" by Emil Schneiderhan, you are aware of the wealth of information contained therein. Emil's work is an extraordinary effort. There are others also who have provided assistance with information that would have taken me years to obtain. I should have began this journey into the history of my family years ago, but in my youth my interests were elsewhere. As I continue this search I hope to be guided along the way by many others and in turn perhaps I can provide a little help to others as our paths cross.
